Creative Sheep *Biology of Animation*

When was my last post….dammit almost two months ago. I promised I would be more regular, can I keep a promoise, yes, how come I’m not keeping my promoise to post atleast two or three times a week, excuse been busy and that is not a excuse it’s acctually the truth. Animation is alot of work and as a solo single man team it has prooven to be like that, in the past two weeks I have updated my knowledge with a excellent video tutorial on adobe after effects, read a 400+ page book on HTML and CSS and other web technolgies and currently I am watching another video tutorial on flash (I never used flash before or used it before, all I can say it’s more basic then what I originally thought, or is it or must I master some techniques MORE READING argh) and I forgot to mention that for the past 5 months I have been finishing a long animation and recently put up a new (much improved) web page well it’s not up yet but It’s getting there so far from whom have seen test version of it they say it looks good, whew.

About a few weeks ago I was working on some “creative sheep” logos I was gonna use on my *new* web page, I didn’t end up using them but it does always help to show something to prospected clients or jobs (which also I’m looking for a animation position or graphic design position\web design in Toronto or freelance anywhere in North America) so far, nothing.

Take a look at the logos I did and tell me which one you like the most.

Hello, I’m back on track. Everything is up and running and I’m near completion of my project, and it looks good. A one man project and things have taken thus far over 4 months to complete. It could have finished earlier but things were not solved yet, but now it’s finishing pretty darn fast so, I’m very happy. I have for the last few days halted to finalize my web page as I’ve been finishing this pretty big project I’m working on as a one man team but I should be resuming in a matter of days again.

I have attached a image of piece of the animation I’m working on, now this perticular character I went a little more on the detail, even though in the shot it will be in you won’t really even see it. I personally just decided on a little more detail on this one, plus also to show off some of what I can do 🙂

I will be more regular on my blog now, I’ll try to get in a post 2-3 days a week at best. Also I am a regular member at XSI|Base where as I have been on this forum site for a while and yet I have learned so much from that forum, I want to say a thank you to those who read this who are members on that forum.

Well, I have almost finished the computer transition of changing hardware. Why it took this long ? Well I can’t finish it as I had to order another part due to configuration of my hardware. When that arrives I will be back in business and I can finally put something on my blog to showcase and I hope to start my career (freelance) off as a animator starting 2008 (it is an exciting year for me, because of that)

Also my web page is under going a renovation, not realizing that people were not able to view my current one which is still online, at walkfar media I knew something had to be done. How else can I get work if no one can see my work in a nice personal presentation like a web page.

Well, I am making some progress with my computer, their are some things I still have to trouble shoot and so forth but I am making some progress. This is a short entry but if you ever seen animated shorts usually :15 minutes on “Tree House” in Canada quite colourful. Visit the web page of the creator and take a look at it you’ll remember 🙂

Pocoyo

Well, I am altering my hardware, move hardware around and so forth. What a job this is, I’m writting this on a computer which will be “altered” but I have to have something to access the net, and write on my blog etc for now and for any trouble shooting that may occur. This stuff is just so frusterating I’ll be glad when it’s all over and working, and I can get back to animating, even though it’s only been 3 days of preparing for the worse then one day of having everything apart.

Now, once this is all done that is when you will see my previews and my project will get finished before Xmas (it’s been a rough month with most of it animating and now this changing my computer hardware. Is it a pain in the fudge, YES but in order to work more better you sometimes gotta do it. That is the whole legacy of computers (PC), mac users it may be different I wouldn’t know other then I know that OSX is a superb OS and I wish apple would make a version for PC to compete with Windows but who knows when and if that ever happens (unless Mr.Jobs is reading this)

I’ve been working fine for the past several weeks on a portion of my animation and a road block has been hit, rather it was a problem I realized the other night. Hopefully the technique I plan to do to fix it will work and if it does it will save me ALOT of time fixing it.

In the mean time this is “sexy robot” one of the few first computer animated commercial which was made back in Jan 20, 1984 at that time was the gradual evolution of computer animation. As we know animation in general has been around for centuries. Great commercial for the time, and IMO (in my opinion) still would be to this day

Oh my gosh, over 4 months of work minus 1 month of almost redoing a huge chunk of this animation and alot of effort put it. I am almost finishing this animation I am working on, slowly I will start to release sneak peaks of it soon. I know, I should have released sneak peaks weeks ago. You may be thinking what is the deal, Christopher common. Animation is work people and I spend alot of time on it then I give myself breaks work on other stuff then go back at it again. As you all know I’m not a huge blogger but your average blogger and at the end of this message\post whatever you want to call it I want to share some sites of drawings and such done by other talented people on the net, I hope they link up my blog 🙂 Anyhow if you havn’t visit my web page at www.walkfar.ca you should some of my past work is on there, and I will be changing my site, my goal is before christmas as one person I hope I meet it. My blogging post have really stunk the past two months, lazyness that what it is, I’ve got to get on some schedule or something very,very soon.

I wanted to also add, I’m really fed up of that iPod 1,2,3,4 song. Like common I don’t think it’s a good song it sucks and now I’m hearing it in the grocery stores OH HELP ME. Help me even more when someone in the store is singing it OH THE TORTURE.
