Hi, if you are new to illustration and graphics or maybe you want to create some graphics or edit some graphics at work or at a remote location.  I strongly advise that you check out these cloud based graphic editors, their fast and can do alot without the heavy Illustrator/Photoshop price tag. Although most of the professional features you can only find in Illustrator / Photoshop.

An update that the blog changes are complete. Tutorials are to follow what is not found via a Google search, although there are plenty of graphic/compositing tutorials  mine will be unique 🙂

I’d also like to mention a wonderful Post-It notes tool I use.  It is literally the best Post-It notes software available, no more need to purchase Post-It at your local Staples store with this program you get it all, post management, backing up posts, web address in posts the list goes on… need I say more ?

Increase load time

Hello, the blog has undergone some behind the scenes clean up. I have sped up the loading time of the blog by 61% which is a significant increase. I also have created a sub-blog on Softimage ICE and my quest on learning Javascript, that I will be posting as progress is made, you can visit the sub-blog or known as ‘learning programming‘. If you are not aware ICE is for the 3D animation / special effects program ‘Softimage‘ which is visual node based programming, a heads up for those in the dark.

Page Incomplete

I’d just like to inform that it has been a long time since I’ve posted one of a few reasons the page has been under going some changes and until those changes are complete, I won’t be adding the content that I’m behind on. Secondly I would like to add that there are some content pages such as this that are light graphically and some that are moderate and others including this one which are a little on the heavy side. This site was designed around a ‘graphic artist‘ so it is going to be a little heavy on the graphics, I hope to improve this in the coming months, with most users having broadband and most browsers caching pages, you probably won’t notice any speed decrease unless you’re viewing this page on dial-up or a awfully slow DSL connection.

The content is coming, you will see it in time.

Kinectamals

If you haven’t seen the new XBox 360 Commercial with the Tiger then you better start watching a little more TV or watch this demo of Microsoft Kinectamals at E3 it’s amazing.

The tiger cub looks almost life like, I will admit it’s cute unless you don’t like animals.  I wish I was part of the Dev Team for that game, the shader engine used as well as the transparency on the fur is very inspiring.  If anyone has any behind the scenes of how this game was made I’d be really interested in seeing it.  Blood and gore sells, but Nintendo’s path worked and it their road map wasn’t blood and gore it was Mario and Luigi.

Cycling Software

As a designer and CG motion designer, software obviously plays an important part in my creative wave.  There is an important part of Software that many people are aware of and that being upgrading, which leads me to a slight beef.

The software that I use on a regular basis is a joy to use it’s the upgrading scheme from the companies whose software I use that bothers me, many people don’t realize the cost that some software requires you to pay annually as a larger company / studio this may or may not be that expensive to pay $10K for Licenses.  As a independent artist or maybe even as a freelancer paying the annual fee for one license can be difficult depending on how the year went.

It would be nice if these companies would give the individual artist / freelancer an extension of paying the annual every 1.5 years, I’d like to hear some of your comments ?
